Cub Scout uniforms may be purchased from the new Scout Shop at Heard Scout Pueblo in South Phoenix. Uniforms may also be purchased online at scoutshop.org. Use this guide as a checklist of what to buy.
You are welcome to use any appropriately-colored bottoms (pants, shorts, or skirts); they do not need to be "BSA official." Suggestion: stores that sell school uniforms.
Our Pack has a variety of previously-owned uniform items. To inquire, email pack416az@gmail.com and we will connect you with our Uniform Mom!
Previously-owned items may also be purchased at local thrift stores, eBay, etc.
To pick up your scout's new Class B (Pack t-shirt), email pack416az@gmail.com.
This website walks you through the details of the different Cub Scout "Class A" uniforms.
Wear the official Class A uniform to all Pack and Den events, unless otherwise indicated.
When interacting with the public, the scouts (Lion through Bear Dens) must wear dark blue bottoms (not blue jeans). The belt should either be BSA official or something of a similar size, as your scout will be earning belt loops to put on it.
Webelos and Arrow of Light (AOL) scouts wear the tan Boy Scout shirt and olive green pants. These are the same uniforms your scout will wear when they "crossover" to a BSA Troop in sixth grade. The belt for this uniform will not hold belt loops.
Shirts MUST be tucked in at all times.
Closed-toed sneakers, hiking boots, or dress shoes should be worn with this uniform.
Open-toed shoes and crocs are not permitted at camping, hiking, or other similar outdoor activities.
Every scout is encouraged to have a handbook for his or her current rank. If cost is a concern, please let us know and we will share online resources instead.
Cub scouts are awarded medals, pins, loops, and patches for various activities. Most are wearable on the uniform, but there’s a limit to how many can fit. See the Cub Scout Insignia Guide for more details. If you do not sew, the staff at the Mesa Scout Shop will sew patches on for you or you may inquire about Badge Magic.
This is Pack 416's official blue t-shirt with our Pack number and logo, as shown in the header of this page. Each scout receives one free Class B shirt upon joining the Pack.
Adult shirts, replacements, or upgrades are available for $10 each: click here to pay for your shirt and then email pack416az@gmail.com to coordinate delivery to an upcoming Pack event.
Class B shirts will be worn when indicated by Cubmaster or Den Leader, typically when we will be sweaty or messy.
The rank-specific official hat is worn, and scouts should salute the flag when in the Class B uniform.
Do not wear the neckerchief or any patches or pins.
